# Preservation Candidates

This report is only actionable when you're looking at doing a site redesign or some kind of migration. It shows you URLs that, from an SEO perspective, you should make a point to *preserve*. You can think of it as showing you the URLs on your site with the most SEO value.

Here are the columns in the report:

* **URL**: the URL you should consider preserving.
* **Keyword**: the keyword, if applicable, that the URL targets.
* **Backlinks**: the number of backlinks we've observed in the wild to this URL.
* **Organic Views**: the number of recent views via organic as a medium.
* **Last Organic**: the last time the URL received a visit via organic as a medium.

The slider at the top allows you to control the number of days for which the report should tabulate organic visitors. In other words, if you prefer to weigh preservation value by traffic in the last 6 months, rather than 30 days, you can do so.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://hitsubscribe.gitbook.io/home/osiris/actionables/preservation-candidates.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
